The Atmosphere:

The Silverlake Lounge isn't set up to be a lounge like the name would suggest. The club has a fairly large stage in comparison to the club itself and a pretty decent sound system. Hanging just off center of the stage there's a disco ball and some basic lighting. The walls are painted black and covered with pink and orange stars that glow under the dim lighting. For seating you'll find a few bar type tables and chairs as well as a wooden bench (painted black) and built along the wall of the club.

The Fold is 21 and over, but you'll get the hint pretty quick when the guy at the door cards you. The club has a full bar, but I didn't see my favorite, Guinness on tap? The band that was playing sounded good and from the general information the booker gave us, I believe he picks interesting groups to perform.

What you should know:

We have to mention something about the weekends. If your wondering why the Silverlake Lounge is The Fold Monday thru Friday, it's because Saturday and Sunday The Silverlake Lounge features live adult entertainment in the form of Transsexuals, Transvestites and Cross dressers. We're just glad they have live music five nights a week, but if you find yourself out there on Saturday or Sunday... you'll know what to expect.

Parking Situation:

The Silverlake Lounge isn't located in the best neighborhood. Fortunately, the Silverlake Lounge has its own parking located on the side of the club. However, on a busy night I would imagine the parking gets filled pretty quickly. You'll either have to get there early enough to ensure a parking space or be prepared to park on the street and walk to the club.
