The Atmosphere:
Amidst the small coffee shop environment, Lulu's Beehive offers something special. Self-described as an "espresso parlor and art forum with fabulous food," there's nothing here to argue with. Lulu's is full of art, music, a great menu and some "fabulous" drinks.
If you come to Lulu's, come to relax. The tables and chairs throughout the shop carry a style reminiscent of a rustic country kitchen. It's the subtleties that make up the atmosphere here, like each table has a different color checkerboard pattern. In the front of the shop you'll find patio furniture style chairs, some tables and a few umbrellas for those bright sunny days.
If you want to see good music but don't want large amplifiers, electric guitars and screaming vocals, you'll find this just to your liking. Featuring mostly acoustic acts, you can expect to find quite a selection of both styles and talent.
Lulu's has an extensive menu full of fresh, delicious food. We recommend the veggie sandwich and blueberry muffins, but they also have salads, soups, chili, and sinful desserts. Today I heard a friend mention the cherry pie! Word gets around.
Looking for a new painting to hang on your wall. The art is for sale, but it's not going cheap! Hey, good art cost money. If your not going to take it home, you'll certainly enjoy it while you're there. The various paintings along the walls add color and ambiance that really defines the Beehives style.
Parking Situation:
You shouldn't have a problem parking along the street near Lulu's. Located on Ventura Blvd makes it easy. Although, you may need to feed a meter if you stop by during "specified" hours. So, don't forget to check the signs!
