The Atmosphere:

14 Below's wood and brick building is very inviting. The bar has a fireplace, jukebox and big screen TV with the performance close captioned for those who want to see the music from the bar. Often you'll find regulars gathered in groups throwing back pints and having a great time.

The next room is where you'll find the live music. The walls are decorated with pictures of musicians, local and national. Posters of up and coming shows are everywhere throughout the club. Table-style candles light the room and there's a black light in the back. The room faces towards the stage, which is elevated about 4 feet off the floor.

In back you'll find a restaurant and lounge area that has pool tables, couches, plenty of seating, televisions, vintage video games and all the amenities and more that you'd expect hanging out at your favorite local pub. Usually people gather at the entrance to the room to watch the bands.

The restaurant, an American grill, serves food into the evenings and has it's own seating. While the restaurant is part of 14 Below, it is distinctly different and can be accessed separately from the club itself.

14 Below is about to see a major renovation. The restaurant was owned independently but is now officially part of 14 Below.

Parking Situation:

The outlying neighborhood is mostly residential, but 14 Below is located on Santa Monica Blvd. which itself is almost all businesses. They have parking in the back, which is free on some nights and valet on others. Unfortunately, the parking gets filled up quickly and you may have to park further away and walk.
