Powder   |   CD "Self"   |   Track 2 "Up Here"
Description:
Somewhere between the stylistic likenesses of Pantera and Alanis Morissette comes together the unique sound of Powder, something that hasn't quiet been done before. "Up Here" is an aggressive tune that asks the question "How'd I get up here?"

Carlos Calvo   |   CD "Past . Present . Future"   |   Track 7 "Fall of Rome"
Description:
"Have you found yourself," the opening lyrics to "Fall of Rome" quickly sums up the musical mood of this track. Carlos's voice is warm and draws you into the song, which is reflective and thoughtful. The tune has a Middle Eastern soundtrack vibe that the song weaves in and out of. Check out Carlos Calvo's "acoustic" sound and if you like it, you'll probably like the whole album.

Mara   |   CD "It's Who I Am"   |   Track 7 "When The Damage Is Done"
Description:
Soft rock / pop ballad? This is an undeniable track off Mara's independent release, "It's Who I Am." The album is primarily a pop rock / AAA alternative, but this song has a bit of a different feel, almost Elton John'esq piano riff with some really catchy lyrics.

Alek Vila   |   CD "loveincolor"   |   Track 5 "Contact"
Description:
Contact is a mysteriously dark grooving tune with a 80s rock vibe. Produced and performed by Alek Vila the song shows off another side to this eclectic album of 12 tracks. Alek's meld of the 80's sound with experimentation blend into a very stylistic sound.

Jessie & the Raindogs   |   CD "House Broken"   |   Track 12 "I Don't Deserve This"
Description:
"I Don't Deserve This" is a slow grooving blues song that sums up quite a bit about bad relationships. The song is emotional and keeps you just where you're supposed to be for the entire tune. Even more impressive is Jessie Payo, not yet 20, with an astounding voice of someone twice her age and experience. Check out this track!
