Lisa Linehan : Sherman Oaks Lounge

Lisa Linehan's acoustic performance at the Sherman oaks Lounge proved that a young group with talent could produce a mature sound, and the recipe for this group, seems to be an abundance of good musicians. The band, made up of Mike Burney, (bass) Tim Guille, (guitar), and Dave Plesh, (percussion) let loose the onstage smile that tricks you into having a good time, Singer songwriter Lisa Linehan Immediately displays the comfort of taking the stage like she's done many times before.

The performance is filled with energy, love, and occasional humor, depending on the content of the song. Lisa's voice is a thrust of fullness that lets you know this is what she loves to do. With credits to her name including, singing the National Anthem for two L.A Dodgers home games and one L.A Clippers game at the STAPLES center you know she is a great singer.

The Music is good, but this is where the young part comes in, the songs still seem to be in a development stage, probably because the band is so young. While the songs are arranged well and a good length, the group doesn't quite have that signature stamp on it, yet. Though the musicians are very skilled, it still seems a little unfamiliar to them at this point.

This won't be a problem for long, with the high level of talent they hold with their combined experiences, the songs are just a couple months away from blossoming into their full potential. I'd love to hear songs like "Loosing My head" again in the near future.
